Formed in the Inland Empire of southern California, The Violet Mindfield is an American rock band devoted to 1960s garage rock, surf, and psychedelic sounds. The group consists of John Duran (lead vocals, guitar), Harry Parr (drums, backing vocals), Victor Salazar (2nd guitar, backing vocals), Sean Mcbreen (bass) and Clifton Weaver (multi-instrumentalist). Across a series of LPs and singles for notable labels such as Outro Records, Hypnotic Bridge, and Disques Rogue, the band merges classic pop craftsmanship with their retro sensibilities to establish their place in the 60s inspired music scene. These releases led to greater attention on their live performances resulting in appearances with other prominent “retro inspired” acts such as The Sextones and Native Sun. On record and on stage, The Violet Mindfield experience is always energetic, fun, and stylish.
